The island’s director of hospital services is to be questioned about why the health service keeps spending more money than it is supposed to.

Mr Mike Quinn will give evidence to Tynwald’s public accounts committee tomorrow (Wednesday).

The committee is examining the budget overspend at the Department of Health and Social Care. It is focussing in particular on the situation at Noble’s Hospital.

The committee is made up of members of Tynwald - Juan Watterson SHK, Tim Crookall MLC, David Cretney MLC, Jane Poole Wilson MLC, Rob Callister MHK and Chris Robertshaw MHK.

The meeting takes place at the Legislative Council chamber, Legislative Buildings, Buck’s Road, Douglas, at 2.30pm.
