An air accident investigation has been launched after an aircraft scraped its tail on the runway as it landed at Ronaldsway.

A Stobart Air ATR-72, operating on behalf of Flybe, was flying in from Birmingham when the incident took place on December 18. The aircraft sustained minor damage but taxied to the apron without a problem and took off as scheduled an hour later.

An investigation has been launched by the UK Air Accident Investigation Branch which rated the incident as ’serious’.
