The chairman of the Isle of Man Victorian Society was the speaker at the Probus club’s February meeting, which was held at Douglas Golf Club.

Bob Stimpson told members about the Knockaloe railway tracing its start from Peel breakwater up through the valley to the Knockaloe internment camp during the First Wold War.

Provisions for the camp were sent on the railway.
