The Cronk y Voddy Ploughing Association raised £4,000 for Bridge the Gap during events last year.

Fundraising events included a Big Spud competition, where people were challenged to grow the biggest possible potato, and Cronk y Voddy sports day on Tynwald Day.

Bridge the Gap opened a ’Pod’, a fully equipped retreat at Noble’s Hospital last year for patients aged between 16 and 24 with complex, chronic and life-threatening medical conditions, who spend lengthy periods in hospital or need to make frequent visits for appointments.

The charity is also paying for a part-time youth worker to run the facility.
