A Douglas pub is offering a free Christmas dinner to anyone who may be facing the festive period alone.
The Nag’s Head in Victoria Street is throwing open its doors and carving the turkey so people can share each other’s company on Christmas Day.
Owner Sheila Dowie said: ’We have done this Christmas meal for over 10 years. It is not done for publicity but because we believe in the true message of Christmas. After all, the Three Wise Men gave gifts at Christmas to Jesus.’
The pub will be offering dinner, tea and coffee and soft drinks for anyone not wishing to drink alcohol and has extended the invitation to anyone who wants some good company.
