A charity is encouraging people to eat sweet things and raise funds at the same time.
Victim Support Isle of Man’s latest fundraising initiative the ’pudding party’.
Victim Support’s management committee trialled new initiative, each tasked with hosting a pudding party.
Each event was successful, with the committee raising £895 so far.
Paula Gelling, manager of Victim Support, said: ’A very popular television show has made home baking incredibly popular in recent years, so we felt a pudding party would be a great fundraising initiative.
’It’s very simple to organise. All you need to do is invite some friends around, get your favourite recipes out and enjoy a get together.
’It doesn’t have to be at home. We would like to encourage offices to get involved too, with a pudding party at work.’
The charity, which relies on donations, will help people with their pudding party ideas, offering invitation templates and moneyboxes for collections.
Victim Support helps people affected by crime, domestic abuse and fatal road collisions.

The services are free and available to everyone, whether or not the crime has been reported and regardless of when it happened.
