Politicians past and present and Queen’s award recipients were among the people who gathered at Government House to celebrate the Queen’s official birthday.

The reception took place on Tuesday.

Guests included Chief Minister Howard Quayle and two previous chief ministers, Sir Miles Walker and Tony Brown.

Members of the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group, which has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, attended along with individuals who were named in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

They included Tynwald President Steve Rodan, who was awarded an OBE, and Ivor Ramsden who founded the Manx Aviation and Military Museum and was awarded an MBE.

The Queen’s official birthday is on the second Saturday in June. Her actual birthday is April 21.
