Two blues musicians will make a second attempt to make it to the island next month.
Scots blues man Rab Noakes and Brooks Williams, from Georgia, USA, will appear at a rearranged concert at the Laxey Institute on Saturday, September 28, from 7.30pm.
The duo was originally intended to perform in Laxey on April 27.
However, gale force winds thwarted their attempts to reach the island and the concert had to be postponed.
Concert organiser Pete Christian said that they were delighted to be able to rearrange a concert with the duo so soon.
’We were obviously disappointed when we were forced to cancel Rab and Brooks’ concert in April,’ said Pete.
’Obviously these things can happen, and we are often at the mercy of the weather, living on the island.
’However, we are really pleased that they were willing to reorganise another date for us so quickly, and that we were able to secure another date.
’They are very busy people with quite hectic schedules so we are delighted to get things turned around as quickly as this.
’We’re just looking forward to a great night with two amazing guitarists and hoping the weather stays on our side this time.’
Tickets for Rab Noakes and Brooks Williams are £10, available online from etickets.im/bwb
