Dry for much of the day with some sunshine at first, but thickening cloud will bring rain this evening and overnight. The south to southwest wind will gradually increase reaching gale force this evening with gusts of 50 to 55 mph possible in places overnight. Top temperatures 18 Celsius.
Perhaps a shower at first on Thursday, then generally dry with sunny intervals, the very strong southwest wind turning to the west during the morning and slowly easing.
Dry on Friday morning but showers will develop in the afternoon, merging into longer spells of rain later.
