Chrystals Estate Agents has written to Ramsey Commissioners asking if the board would be interested in acquiring the former mart site on Bowring Road, which has planning approval for 20 flats within three blocks.

The offer was put to the vote and it was agreed that the views of the Department of Infrastructure be sought on the acquisition of the site.

Chairman Andy Cowie voted against.
