Ravenscroft held its first investment presentation since launching in the island in summer 2020.

The investment management company, which also has offices in Guernsey, Jersey and the UK, was joined for the event at Woodbourne House in Douglas by clients, intermediaries and many of the charities, sports and organisations which it has sponsored and supported during its first 18 months.

Will Corrin, director of Ravenscroft in the Isle of Man, welcomed guests before chief investment officer Kevin Boscher gave a macro update.

Mr Boscher talked us through all the issues currently affecting global markets: surging inflation; rising interest rates, and falling bond and stock prices.

After two years of lockdowns, travel restrictions, and unprecedented monetary policy the world is emerging from the global pandemic in a very different place.

Portfolio managers Bob Tannahill and Chris Bell then spoke about Ravenscroft’s thematic investment approach, the services it currently offers in the island and plans for the future.

Mr Corrin said: ‘It was always our intention to celebrate the launch of Ravenscroft in the Isle of Man but Covid restrictions have prevented us from doing so.

‘It was fantastic to be joined by so many people as we finally celebrated and to share our thoughts on the economy.’
