Peel Commissioners says it held a 'very productive' meeting with residents to discuss future parking arrangements for Mona Street.

The local authority said a number of proposals were put forward regarding the future use of Derby Road Car Park.

It added that residents provided 'very constructive' feedback on plans to introduce a maximum stay of 18 hours in any 24-hour period at the car park.

The meeting was held behind closed doors, with the media excluded, and was open only to Mona Street residents.

The commissioners said further meetings would be arranged with residents from neighbouring streets.

A survey has also been issued to Mona Street residents to establish their parking requirements and how they use the car park.
