The police had advised that some of the island’s roads are currently closed due to the adverse weather.

In Peel, the road from Queen Elizabeth II High School to St Johns/Station Road is closed.

In Douglas, the area of Port Jack is closed from the chippy to the bottom of Summerhill.

And Gansey Road from Fishers Hill is also shut with drivers being diverted down Ballakaighin Road.
