Three full houses welcomed back the Rushen Players as they ventured out onto the stage since the lockdown ended.

The southern-based theatre group were performing the Peter Gordon comedy ’Death By fatal Murder’ at the Erin Arts Centre last weekend and each saw them greeted on stage by an excited, sold-out crowd.

Graham Roberts starred as Inspector Pratt, aided by Juan Bridson, as PC Thomkins who did his bumbling best to try and figure out whodunnit out of the motley crew of suspects.

Adrienne Sanderson, from the Rushen Players, said the company were happy to back on stage.

’The atmosphere was fantastic and the crowds were brilliant,’ said Adrienne.

You could here the buzz and the excitement building up from back stage and it is something we have all really missed this year.

’It was a very funny, very daft play and the audience seemed to really enjoy the daftness.’
