Seven-time TT winner Tony Rutter has died. He had been in poor health for some time.
His son Michael announced the news earlier this week.
’I was with him when he died and he was peaceful.
It makes me smile how dad lived his life exactly how he wanted to and how he got away with so much,’ said Michael.
In addition to his TT prowess, Tony won the World TT Formula Two Championship four times, he scored nine NW200 wins and two British championship successes in a 22-year career. He was 78.
More about Tony’s career in a future edition.
