The body of a dog that went missing three weeks ago has been found.

Felicity Kniveton’s appeal for help finding her dog, who went missing in Glen Helen on January 31, appeared in the Isle of Man Examiner on February 14.

But today she posted on Facebook that the body of Maggie, a black Labrador, had been found.

She writes: ’Phil and I want to thank everyone from the bottom our our hearts for the amazing help and support so many people have given us over the past three weeks.

’A very kind gentleman found Maggie this morning on a beach in Peel.

’She looked very peaceful just as if she was asleep.

’Adrian from the MSPCA and the gentleman who found her helped us to bring her up the cliff path and we are very grateful for their compassionate help.

’Phil and I buried her in her favourite field, full of hares, at my mum’s house earlier today.’
