Tonight’s Ben-my-Chree sailing to Heysham has been cancelled because of ’forecast adverse weather’ in the Lancashire port.
As well as the 8pm journey being called off, the corresponding 2.15am return journey to Douglas won’t be taking place.
A spokesman for newspaper distributors GE White’s, said: ’There will be no papers in shops tomorrow (Monday), but there will be a supply distributed on Tuesday morning.’
Island forecasters are saying there will be patchy rain spreading from the north this evening, clearing towards midnight to leave a few passing wintry showers.
A windy night with the westerly wind veering to the north or northwest and becoming strong to near gale force, as it turns cold later in the night with temperatures falling as low as -1°C.
