Santa and Frosty the Snowman visited Autism Initiatives’ Christmas fair in Ramsey.
The people who attended enjoyed a raffle, craft stalls and refreshments, created and served by some of the people who access services at Autism Initiatives.
Games and activities were available, providing good fun and prizes.
Santa brought a wide selection of presents to hand out and received several cards containing wish lists.
Acknowledging that for some young people with autism attending traditional grottos can prove challenging, with often long queues, bright lights and loud noises, Santa agreed to provide additional meeting sessions with him, between 10am and noon, before the fair, which took place at St Paul’s Hall, was officially open.
The raffle results was drawn by Ann Corlett MHK, with visitors on the day raising more than £1,000.
That money will help to pay for wsensory and craft equipment for the many people that access Autism Initiative’s services.
Paul Ormond-Smith, the head of service for Autism Initiatives, thanked the people who had donated prizes and the any volunteers and staff that helped on the dayn.
