Hop-tu-Naa events are being planned over three nights at the Milntown estate near Ramsey.
’Scarefest 2020 - The Reawakening’ will take place from October 28 to 31.
There will be an unguided walk through the forest grounds, and the people who go will meet characters that bring Milntown’s history to life with special effects produced by a Manx sound and lighting company.
The event, now in its fourth year, includes a fire and light projection show nightly from 6pm to 11pm running every 30 minutes.
Milntown was where the Battle of Sky Hill took place in 1079.
The estate has been held in trust following a period of 500 years where the mansion in the forest exchanged hands between many nobles - including the Christian family and Illiam Dhone.
The estate’s history includes many tenants who came to an early death in unusual circumstances.
Milntown Cafe and Restaurant will also open late with food service.
Justin McMullin, director of Ultimate Productions, which is producing the event, said: ’We’ve had a really poor year so far in terms of events but this one promises to be very special and one not to miss.
’We are adding a huge amount of additional special effects and we’ve also added a huge undercover section billed (as) "the dark maze" for our customers to navigate with one or two surprises within.
’All in all it promises to be one of the best events in the island of the year.’
