‘Quite windy with a strong westerly wind which may touch gale force in more exposed spots at first this morning. Maximum temperature around 8°C.
‘Another spell of heavy rain will develop later this evening and tonight, once again turning to sleet or snow over the hills.
‘The winds will ease and become light and variable for a time overnight, allowing temperatures to drop close to freezing.’
