This summer marks the 40th anniversary of the official opening of Queen Elizabeth II High School, in Peel.
The Queen officially opened the high school on Tynwald Day in 1979.
To commemorate the occasion, the school will be holding a 40th anniversary ball, which will take place on Friday, June 21.
The event takes place at the Best Western Palace Hotel and Casino.
The evening’s celebrations will get underway at 7.30pm in the Cushag Suite.
Tickets for the event cost £45 and are available now from the school office.
A school spokesman said: ’We would be delighted to welcome former members of staff and students to join in with the celebrations.’
