Peel Methodist Church will be hosting a series of open meetings at the Guild Room on Atholl Street in the town.

Beginning on Thursday, October 8, at 2.15pm and taking place every succeeding Thursday, the meetings are aimed at people who find themselves lonely and have nowhere to go out and meet others.

They are open to everyone of all ages and you don’t have to be a church member to attend. Everyone will be made most welcome.

The programme is varied and will include talks from prominent people such as broadcaster Judith Ley.

There will be quizzes, bingo sessions, members’ readings plus a Christmas party.

The first meeting will act as an introduction and welcome as well as outlining future activities. This will be followed by coffee, tea and biscuits.
