Hospice Isle of Man is working with Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement for its latest art trail.

BSM are sponsoring a large dolphin sculpture that will be part of the ’The Big Splash’ discovery trail, which will run for 12 weeks from May to September next year.

It follows on from the successful wallaby walk in 2019 which raised £250,700 for the charity.

Simon Broadhurst, director of BSM said: ’BSM is proud to be supporting this incredible community event to help raise awareness and funds for Hospice Isle of Man.

’The dolphins will be a fabulous way to encourage people to have fun while enjoying colourful public art and at the same time exploring our beautiful island.

’Many of our employees have a deep connection with hospice after personally experiencing the care, compassion and support provided during difficult times with their loved ones.

’We encourage everyone to celebrate the wonderful work of Hospice Isle of Man.’

The 30 dolphin sculptures will form the largest mass participation art event to come to the Isle of Man.

Each large dolphin sculpture will be decorated by local and national artists and smaller dolphins will be on display as part of an education programme.

The aim is to encourage residents and visitors to the island to explore the environment from a different perspective and promote an active lifestyle.

Each sculpture will be sponsored by local businesses. To sponsor a dolphin please visit www.bigsplash.im/sponsors or email [email protected]
