Christian Aid has organised a Sing for Salone event in aid of the victims of the Sierra Leone mudslides.
The event takes place at Trinity Methodist Church hall in Douglas on September 16.
It will feature music by the Caarjyn Cooidjagh choir, a gospel band and guest artists to provide a harmony of Manx and African singers.
Heavy downpours last month triggered mudslides and flooding in the Regent area of Sierra Leone’s capital Freetown.
Almost 400 people died, including more than 100 children, and there are 600 missing. At least 3,000 people have lost their homes, with some reports putting the number affected as high as 13,000. Doors will open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
Tickets priced £7.50 - half price for children - are available on the door and the entrance price includes refreshments.
All funds raised will go to Christian Aid’s Sierra Leone appeal. For more details, contact Louise on 474275.
