Members of the Women’s Institute have set up a group in Onchan, asking people what they would like to do in 2019.

Nature trips, talks and chats over cups of coffee are a few examples of what the WI members suggest could be covered in the new group.

A spokesman said: ’This could be getting involved with nature or theatre trips, reading groups or hobby demos. The sky really is the limit, the WI is what you want it to be.’

The second meeting of this group will see Sandy Moore from the Manx Hedgehog Conservation Society bring in some of her prickly friends.

This will take place at the Manx Blind Welfare on Heywood Avenue, Onchan, on Wednesday (February 27) at 7.30pm.
