Police are investigating a spate of vandalism at Rushen United’s clubhouse, in Port Erin.
Officers say that damage has been caused on several occasions over the last three weeks.
Windows have been broken, down pipes knocked off the wall and a rock thrown on the roof, damaging roof tiles.
Further damage has been caused to a boundary wall where officers say ’people have flattened it, got over into a next door garden and been a nuisance in there, knocking over stones’.
In a statement, police said: ’All these things have to be paid for and cause considerable upset, both to the unpaid volunteers who are providing something for kids to do, and also to householders who don’t feel as safe in their homes as they should.
’If you have any information that can help police in stopping these pointless crimes, please contact Constable Stephen Gorry at Castletown Police Station on 631212 or via Crimestoppers.’
