A special evening train has been organised to mark the 60th anniversary of the Isle of Man Steam Railway Supporters’ Association.

The train will depart Douglas station at 7pm on Wednesday July 29 as part of the Manx Heritage Transport Festival.

It will take passengers to Port Erin where the Association is holdings its 59th annual general meeting in the railway museum.

The return journey leaves Port Erin at 9.30pm.

Tickets cost £20 for adults and £10 concessions.

All proceeds will go towards the Supporters’ Association’s project to restore vintage coach F.6 - the oldest surviving bogie carriage.

The train will be staffed entirely by volunteers.
