A 30mph speed limit has been imposed on Richmond Hill due to the recent surface dressing coming loose.

The restriction aims to prevent loose chippings causing damage to other vehicles.

Police have warned that this is a legal speed reduction and enforcement action will be taken where necessary.The Department of Infrastructure posted on its Facebook page: 'A temporary 30mph speed limit is currently in place on Richmond Hill due to a road surface issue.'We are working with our contractors to find the cause of the problem and during this process ask drivers to observe the speed limit.'
