The Straightliners Ramsey Sprint attracted motorbike fans to Mooragh promenade for some spectacular racing.

Paul Furlong recorded the fastest time of the day in the unlimited cc competition class with a time of 6.07 seconds on his Suzuki GSXR.

Phil Wood was second in the class just one hundredth of a second behind with 6.08 seconds on his PWR Hayabusa and Gary Leach third on a Kawasaki with 6.13 seconds.

Alan Tinnion was the fastest in the up to 750cc competition class with a time of 6.77 seconds while Jimmy Fearn jnr won the unlimited cc class in 7.07 seconds.

The winner of the pre-war vintage class (up to 1939) was John Young with a time of 8.35 seconds, with Lester Rowbottam winning the post-war vintage class (up to 1960) in 8.47 seconds.

The day finished off with the wedding of Mark Patman and Julie Higgins, two of the Straightliners crew, on the startline followed by a reception in a marquee at Mooragh Park.
