The steam railway will be running a reduced timetable tomorrow.

Transport bosses say it’s down to engine failures.

The train scheduled to leave at 11.50am from Douglas and the train scheduled to leave at 2pm for Port Erin will be cancelled.

All other trains will run as per timetable.

A spokesman for the government’s public transport department said: ’The engineering team is doing its utmost to resume normal service for Sunday.

’Updates will be posted on our Facebook page IoMTransport and Twitter feed @iombusandrail. All valid rail tickets will be accepted on bus services between Douglas and Port Erin. We apologise for any inconvenience to passengers.’
