Step back in time with Isle of Man Railways as it again hosts an Island at War weekend.
The event starts today (Friday) with RAF Jurby Day, with guided bus tours, exhibitions in the control tower and period vehicles from the Isle of Man Motor Museum on display.
The day will be rounded off with a concert at Jurby Church featuring 1940s singer Fiona Harrison and Paul Marsden.
Doors open at 7pm, they will perform the best of Hollywood and big swing.
Douglas, Castletown and Port Erin railway stations will be the centre of the action on Saturday and Sunday.
At Douglas, expect displays of WWII military and period vehicles and exhibitions.
Commemorative Island at War philatelic covers will be on sale.
Southern scout troops will host a wartime camp at Castletown station, with a field hospital and cooking demonstrations.
There will also be a Southern Vintage Engine and Tractor Club display as well as a traction engine and steam roller.
At Port Erin station, there will be ATC cadets on parade, a WI stall, the Manx Craft Guild and a self-propelled Abbott and 1944 Morris C9B Bofors Gun from the Manx Aviation and Military Museum on display.
There will be live music from the D-Day Darlings on Saturday and on Sunday from 11am with the Southern Belles.
A travelling post office will be travelling between the stations.
A veterans train will travel from Douglas to Port Erin on Saturday morning.
The D-Day Darlings will be performing at the Laxey Working Men’s Institute on Saturday evening. Doors open at 7pm.
Enjoy Sunday lunch on a 1940s themed dining car on Sunday.
A two-course lunch will be served while the train travels from Douglas to Castletown and back. The train departs Douglas at 12.30pm and will return by 2.40pm.
