The Manx branch of fashion retailer M&Co has raised nearly £14,000 for Cancer Research UK over the past 10 years.
The staff and customers of the Douglas shop have raised £13,927 through a series of events, including fashion shows, bake sales and a national relay challenge.
The shop, on Market Street near the Chester Street car park, has put this towards the total £3 million the chain has raised for Cancer Research UK over the past 10 years.
Andrew McGeoch, M&Co chief executive, said: ’Our staff are thrilled to have raised this magnificent sum for Cancer Research UK and together we will continue to contribute to the fight to help beat cancer sooner.’
Staff at M&Co have also been selling charity badges which has raised over £300,000 nationwide and the 5p carrier bag charge in England, Scotland and Wales went to Cancer Research UK, raising a total of £264,000.
Cancer Research UK spokeswoman Clare Lappin said: ’We are so grateful to M&Co for the fantastic amount they have raised for Cancer Research UK.’
