The forecast:
Cloudy today, and outbreaks of rain will soon develop, these heavy at times. Winds will increase to become gale or severe gale force southerlies, giving gusts of about 65 mph through the late morning and early afternoon, and leading to difficult driving conditions.
Then later in the afternoon and into the evening winds will turn more southwesterly and ease a little. Coastal overtopping will occur in places near high tide, with the maximum temperature 10 Celsius.
Any remaining rain will clear away tonight, with winds becoming gale force again at times. Tomorrow will then be another windy day with strong to gale force southwesterlies, but otherwise skies will be bright with only isolated showers.
Less windy on Monday, but still a strong westerly. One or two isolated showers are possible, but there will be plenty of sunny spells.
