The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping.
The weather forecast:
Dry and often sunny with just an outside chance of a shower, but still windy with strong to gale force southwesterlies, feeling cold in the wind, temperatures only 7 or 8 Celsius.
Showers will become more frequent overnight as the winds increase to severe gale force for a time.
A little less windy tomorrow with strong west or southwest winds but mostly dry and bright again with isolated showers, temperatures up to 7 or 8C
Little change on Tuesday then rain later on Wednesday and turning a bit milder at the same time
