Storm Ewan is on the way this morning (Sunday).
Ronaldsway Met Office have issued an amber warning from 9am today to 3pm.
Strong south-southwest winds will increase to gale force today(Sunday) with gusts to 50 perhaps 60 miles per hour.
This may lead to a little further damage to structures/trees that have been weakened by recent high winds.The wind will turn west-southwest and ease later this afternoon.
Large waves a couple of hours each side of high water Sunday (11:15am) will bring waves and significant amounts of debris onto exposed roads and promenades.
Areas most affected include Shore Road - Carrick Bay, Castletown Promenade and the Northern End of Douglas Promenade.
Spells of heavy rain from mid-morning will lead to large areas of standing water and perhaps some localised flooding where drains are blocked.
Amber warnings are issued when localised or temporary problems are expected.
