One of the biggest Britpop bands are heading to the Isle of Man next year.
With thoughts already turning to the 2021 TT, Supergrass have been announced as appearing at the Villa Marina on Thursday June 10, during next year’s race fortnight.
The group, featuring singer Gaz Coombes, bassist Mick Quinn, drummer Danny Goffey and keyboard player Andy Davies have scores of memorable hits under their belts throughout the 90s and early 00s, including ’Alright’, ’Caught By The Fuzz’, ’Pumping On Your Stereo’, ’Moving’, ’Late In The Day’, ’Sun Hits The Sky’ and many more, along with six top-selling albums including ’I Should Coco’, ’In It For The Money’ and ’Life on Other Planets’.
This date is among many rescheduled by the band after their entire year’s plans were scrapped following the restrictions surrounding the global pandemic.
They were on the verge of announcing a concert at the Villa Marina, which was due to take place later this month, before being forced to cancel at the last minute.
Also the group, who had reformed for a one-off greatest hits tour of Europe and the USA, following their split in 2010, had announced that they were due to play a highly-anticipated show at the 2020 Glastonbury festival.
Tickets for the Supergrass TT concert are £35, available from the Welcome Centre and the Villa Marina box office, on 600555, and online from villagaiety.com
