It is 10 years since a huge amount of snow fell on the west of the island.
Much of the area was cut off for some time as drifts, some more than two metres high, meant travel was impossible in some places.
Tragically, hundreds of farm animals suffocated when they were covered in snow and many people helped farmers try to dig them out.
While the astonishing snowfall blanketed the west of the island, none fell in Douglas.
