The wind will slowly ease today before picking up again overnight.

The Met Office forecast for Monday: ‘Generally dry with sunny spells and just a small risk of an odd shower.

‘The strong to gale force northwest wind, will slowly ease then back southwest this afternoon. Temperatures generally around 7 Celsius.

‘Rain will then spread across the island overnight into Tuesday as the south to southwest wind quickly increases to gale or severe gale force.’
