Theatrefest begins this weekend, with a packed programme of original plays, dance and film, held over two days.
With all the action taking place at the Ballakermeen Studio theatre, there will be two plays on Friday, October 6, performed by local actors, including ’The battle of the Boat’, and an original piece of theatre set on the Isle of Man, called ’Cheese, Chips and Gravy’.
Saturday 7 sees another piece of original Manx theatre, Lhiannan Shee, created by island dance teacher Pippa Salter, followed by the premier of a film version of a winning script from last year’s festival, ’Three Mothers’.
The competition for the best original one-act play also runs during this year’s festival.
