Colourful flower arrangements, decorated wellies and carefully constructed cakes attracted a buzz at this year’s Sulby Horticultural Show.
There was a total of 1,195 entries at the show, which reached its 73rd anniversary this year. Many visitors enjoyed the displays entered into more than 130 classes by adults and children.
Once again, Sulby and Jurby Schools supported the show with their entries, as well as local nursery Butterflies.
It was opened by former Tynwald president Clare Christian who thanked the exhibitors and the committee for keeping the parish’s tradition alive and flourishing.
Best junior in show was awarded to Millie Corlett for her entry in junior crafts. She took home the Billy and Barbara Graham Memorial Cup.
Overall best in show went to Theresa Shammon, with her onions grown from seed. She took home the Merle Matthews Trophy.

Exhibits left at the end of the afternoon were donated to the Isle of Man Foodbank.
