The Manx Lottery Trust will be focusing its support on projects at the forefront of the Covid 19 pandemic for the next six months.
It comes after its trustees agreed all funding decisions made for the next six months will be in line with its partners at The National Lottery Community Fund.
The lottery trust will be looking to support projects at the forefront of the Covid-19 pandemic and prioritising getting money to these organisations to best support the island community.
Chairman Sarah Kelly said: ’Through this commitment we hope to be able to benefit the organisations currently under an immense amount of pressure.
’This might include the likes of the food bank, homeless charities and causes that combat loneliness and isolation, as well as helping the elderly and projects that support health organisations.
’The application process will remain unchanged and organisations will still need to complete our community awards application form, however, the trustees have agreed to meet more frequently so applicants won’t be waiting too long for a reply.’
She said all current grant commitments will be honoured and the trust will be flexible with existing grants in terms of end dates.
