TT fans will be able to pay to watch the races live online this year.
The TT+ ’channel’ will also broadcast year-round behind-the-scenes content.
It will show uninterrupted live coverage for the first time in the TT’s 115-year history.
Fans can make a one-off payment £14.99 for the TT+ live pass, to see up to 40 hours of live qualifying and race coverage at TT 2022, including pre-race build up and post-race analysis.
It will include access to 24 hours of archive race highlights from the recent history of the TT.
Subscribers will also see live events such as the TT Preview Show (April 2022) as well as coverage of the TT’s first Esports competition, coming in the near future.
Isle of Man production company Greenlight Television is behind the live broadcast and has assembled a 200-strong production team to capture the action. Two helicopters will shoot footage.
TT regulars Matt Roberts and Amy Williams will present it with a new face to the TT, Jennie Gow, who has worked on the world’s biggest motorsport events such as Formula 1, MotoGP and Formula E.
Also joining the presenting team is regular BBC sport correspondent and former Isle of Man Newspapers sports reporter Rick Faragher.
