A talented band of TT visitors have proved a big hit on Facebook after providing some impromptu musical entertainment at a Douglas restaurant.

Salford lads Terry Parkins, his son Brad, Colin Seymour, Paul Campbell and John Ennis have attended the TT each year, this being their ninth trip to the island together.

Last Tuesday, they went into town with their friend Melvyn Armstrong, who lives in Douglas, and as usual they brought with them a guitar for Terry to play, while Colin had a set of percussion instruments with him.

They visited the Saddle pub and struck up playing and singing, then moved on to the nearby Legion. In both places they brought the house down singing various song and getting other tourist to join in.

Having played and sung for a number of hours the guys decided to finish off the night quietly just after midnight with a curry at the Taj Mahal in Douglas. Or so they thought!

While waiting for the food to arrive, they began singing a cappella, and again the other customers loved it so much the lads got the instruments out, and were filmed by a member of staff who uploaded it on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

To date this has had more than 19,000 views.

Since then, the unlikely Facebook stars were recognised by many people who stopped them in the street.

They say they would love to be asked back next year and may be do other appearances that are pre-arranged.
