TT visitors will be able to stay on the old prison site next year.
The area, on Victoria Road, Douglas, will be used as a temporary hotel.
Cabins will be transported to the site by lorry and it will be similar to the Snoozebox site that operated recently near the TT Grandstand.
At least 150 rooms will be available.
Each self-contained room will have twin beds, en-suite shower with toilet and heating.
Duke Travel is marketing the site as ’IOMTT Village’.
The company is also promoting camping facilities football grounds next to Governor’s Bridge.
In association with Onchan AFC and Douglas High School Old Boys AFC, 200 five-metre ’bell tents’ will provide furnished accommodation with two, three or four beds, linen and towels.
The site will also have showers and toilet facilities to accommodate guests.
The ’IOMTT Village’ is near the paddock and grandstand.
Peter Duke, chief executive officer of Duke Travel, said; ’Some fans will also welcome the sound-insulation of our rooms when they decide to turn in for the night.
’We think the village will be well received by anyone who stayed in one of the Snoozebox rooms when they were here between 2012 and 2017.
’It’s close to the action but not so close that you can’t escape the noise, while the rooms are 10% larger with good bathroom facilities and more space for bike gear.’
Continental breakfast and tea and coffee facilities will available on site, as well as a manned 24-hour reception, hardstand bike parking and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Prices start from £50 per person bed and breakfast per night based on two sharing during Practice Week.
The Governor’s Bridge camping site will have showers and toilets, an on-site bar and food outlet, free Wi-Fi and hard-standing parking for motorcycles.
Governor’s Bridge Fan Park prices start at £40 per person per night based on two sharing.
