A professional make-up artist, who has worked on some of the best-known television series in recent times, is to hold a workshop and tutorial in theatre and presentation make up next weekend.

Alyn Waterman has been invited by the Douglas Choral Union to hold the online interview and workshop at the Kensington Art Centre, Kensington Road, Douglas, on Sunday, September 13, from 10.30am.

Alyn is a widely-regarded stylist and has worked on television programmes such as Gavin and Stacey, Footballers’ Wives, Queer As Folk, My Mad Fat Diary and Hustle, as well being the on-set makeup artist and hairstylist for Dame Joan Collins for 15 years on her numerous filming assignments and personal appearances all over the world.

The workshop and interview will be held online and will be followed by a stage make-up tutorial by a local make-up artist.

’Alyn will be sharing many of his hints, tips and tricks of the trade,’ said organiser Jude Fullerton from the Douglas Choral Union.

’These are aimed at making yourself look your best and making your skin looking great, whether you are going for an audition or appearing on stage.’

Tickets are £6 and are available, along with more details, from the Douglas Choral Union Facebook page.

The workshop is a precursor for the DCU’s ’Face-Off’ make up challenge, on Sunday, September 27.
