The Children’s Centre has appointed two new trustees to the charity.

They are lawyer Andrew Johnston, who has worked in childcare and protection matters while in private practice, and Anthony Page, who has worked in the fiduciary industry for more than 15 years.

Two trustees of the charity are retiring.

They are Jonathan Hall, one of the longest standing board members after joining in 2005, and Findlay MacLeod, who was appointed in 2009.

Board of trustees vhairman Mike Gardner said: ’I am very grateful to Jonathan and Findlay for their hard work and dedication to the charity.

’They have made an enormous contribution over many years and their wise counsel has always been invaluable.

’As we look forward to celebrating The Children’s Centre’s 150th anniversary next year, the trustees and I are delighted to welcome Andrew and Anthony to the board of trustees.

’They bring significant energy and experience in areas that are important to the delivery of our charitable objectives, fortifying the next 150 years of The Children’s Centre.’
