Both Douglas Promenade roundels have opened today for use.
The new roundel at Broadway opened for full use, with the Church Road roundel opening under traffic restrictions, according to MyProm.
This comes as several road changes are implemented along the stretch.
Following the changes being delayed last week due to Auldyn Construction struggling with the final surfacing, a number of traffic alterations have come into force today.
The Church Road Marina will be open for vehicles exiting the promenade with the roundel there being under traffic lights.
Also coming into force today is Peveril Square, from the sea terminal to Lord Street, will be one-way from the terminal.
Loch Promenade walkway is now open to pedestrians with no parking allowed and Walpole Avenue has been reversed. Once these changes come into effect, vehicular access to the ferries and Sea Terminal will be via Victoria Street.
Other changes include Fort Street being accessible for buses. Traffic management north of the Empress Hotel will be less intrusive, with uninterrupted two-way traffic flow alongside the working areas. Access to side lanes and entrances to apartment car parks will be maintained except when the final surface course is laid, when access will be prohibited for short periods. A further schedule of all dates will be communicated with key stakeholders once known.
