The Met Office has issued two yellow weather warnings.

The first is for frost, the second for gales and coastal overtopping.

The forecast:

A cold start with the risk of frost in places, especially over high ground this morning. Otherwise dry for most of the day today, bright with some sunny spells, the light to moderate westerly wind will strengthening south or southwest becoming gale force later this evening as rain arrives. Temperatures up to 8 Celsius.

Remaining cloudy turning largely dry for much of the night, but remaining windy with gale force south or southwest winds.

Very windy on Saturday morning with further rain at times, the gale force south-southwest winds turning west or southwest and easing during the afternoon. Temperatures up to 12 Celsius.

Colder on Sunday but less windy and generally dry and bright.
