Fire crews were called out to deal with a van fire at the TT Paddock.

Firefighters from Douglas station were dispatched at just before 10.15am yesterday (Saturday) to a reported vehicle fire at Paddock B, at the TT Grandstand.

On arrival, however, they found that the fire had been extinguished by the prompt actions of site security staff. The cause of the fire was an electrical fault.

Crews remained in attendance for about 20 minutes to make the vehicle safe.
