Weather forecasters are warning that winds around the Isle of Man could touch gale force this evening.
As we reported yesterday, the forecast means that the Steam Packet’s sailings on the Manannan are being brought forward to avoid the worst of the weather.
Beach Buddies, the charity that removes rubbish from beaches, has cancelled today’s event.
The forecast from the Met Office:
Cloudy this morning with a little patchy light rain and drizzle, as the southwest winds increase fresh to strong.
Then the rain will clear away around midday, being replaced by sunny spells and scattered blustery showers for the rest of the day, some of which may be heavy.
The winds will swing more westerly, becoming strong in many places through the afternoon, with the maximum temperature 17 Celsius.
Tonight the winds may touch gale force in a few places, with some heavy showers moving through for a time.
Then tomorrow will stay windy with strong northwesterlies and otherwise sunshine and occasional blustery showers.
Lighter winds on Tuesday, mostly dry for a good part of the day before some rain arrives later.
